Upcoming Litters
At what age do we let our puppies go and why.
I find myself rewriting the same thing over and over so I felt it more productive to let those of you interested in a Bandog puppy or young adult, a few of our requirements.
1. We do not let puppies go till they are 3-4 months at the earliest. Many times they go even older than that.
2. Since we breed for ourselves always keeping in mind that we will keep maybe 1 or 2 puppies from each litter, as we grow up each puppy we are looking for traits that will make them desirable to further our breeding and show goals. When we reevaluate, as we do each time we have a new litter, some older puppies will become available. I have never in my 35 plus years of breeding have found it to make a difference at what age you get a frenchie. Actually the older the better, as the puppy stages can be extremely difficult. Older puppies are crate trained, and dog door trained.
3. Puppies MUST have 3 puppy boosters and be vet checked before they go. You then are also required to take the puppy immediately to your vet so you know that yes you did buy a healthy puppy. We must be 100% sure that our puppies will be off to a good and healthy start.
4. We will take our puppies back at any time as we realize in life there are no guarantees as what tomorrow will bring or if you have a change in circumstances. No questions asked. When you first get your new puppy we give you 2 weeks to return your puppy and your money will be refunded.
5. I am here 24/7 with any questions/ problems/ or issues all the time. Texting and emails work best.
6. Our doors and home are always open to you to visit our home and to be sure that we really are who we say. With so many scams these days anyone can design a beautiful and false web page to mislead you. Once you would get a puppy from a so called breeder, who knows if you will get a puppy or their conditions. Remember, you really only get what you pay for.
7. All our pets are sold on a spay or neuter contract- no negotiations on that. In the past we have neutered or spayed before puppies have left, and we still do at times. There are 2 different schools on that. Some say wait till the puppy has grown and developed more better for the health down the road. My views are, if my vet does the surgery, if something were to happen, and so far never has, you have not lost a pet you and your family were attached to, and you will not have a fairly substantial financial loss.
8. Do we sell anything intact, for showing or breeding purposes? Rarely, and I approach each individual before making a decision. I have to know it is for the love of the breed and not just monetary reasons. We have to have like beliefs and there must be a plan. You must be willing to let me mentor and educate you, or
no deal.
9. We only take deposits when puppies are 4 weeks old and no sooner. We do not keep a list as I find most people are not willing to wait.
10. I am here 24/7 as I stated before, and even if you do not get a puppy from us, I am always available for your questions especially if you are having problems or simple questions. After 35 years of actively breeding I hope to ease your worry and so that you do not have to reinvent the wheel. I love my breed and would help anyone at any time. This is my passion and love .
